Trout Season Closes on Many New York Waters on October 15
Anglers are reminded that the statewide season for trout on many waters closes on October 15. Some waters have special regulations that allow for fishing beyond this date.
A number of lakes and ponds are also open for ice fishing. Look for “ice fishing permitted” in the “Method” column of the Regulations by County tables.
